The Eisenhower wrestler will understand that the total program is larger than any one person. The expectations and responsibilities placed on each member of the team will be demanding but fair for all participants. The team unity concept will be continuously emphasized throughout all age groups participating in the program. The Eisenhower wrestlers goal will not just be winning, but also utilizing important lessons learned through competition and applying these lessons late in life. The program will instill in each participant (win or lose) that dignity and class are the true sign of an Eisenhower wrestler. The coaches and staff will be leaders through example as we all work together to provide a conducive atmosphere for growth. Graduating student-athletes who are prepared for the next level of life will be the underlying theme of the total program.
The wrestling curriculum will be relatively balance in all three positions (top, bottom, and neutral) with conditioning being the dominant factor in our success. The techniques utilized in this program will be appropriate for all age levels and needed to keep the learning curve in check throughout all age groups. The elementary program will be given a simplified version of the curriculum while stressing enjoyment and participation as the main objective.
